The books of Apostles discuss anxiousness extensively through the teachings of Jesus.

Prophets and leaders from other religious groups also provide extensive guidance on this subject through their writings and teachings. Following are probably some of the better known Biblical passages from the which may prove useful in bringing some peace and calm into the lives of those gripped by their anxieties.

Within the writings according to the disciple Matthew, and specifically in chapter six verses 25 to 34, the author makes a comparison between mankind and the birds of the air. The point is made that birds do not sow or reap any harvest and yet they survive, through the grace of the creator, to live full and productive lives. The author compares lilies to the splendor of Solomon and asks philosophically whether through worrying and anxiety, a person can add to the length of their lives.

Throughout the old and new testaments relevant references can be located in the texts of the Psalms, especially number 23 and 55. The twelfth chapter of Luke and fourth chapter of Philippians will calm and reassure the constant worries and fretting from which many suffer.

A reputable life application Bible or alternatively a specialized Biblical reference website is the only additional resource required to locate these and more inspirational readings. It is reassuring to realize that in this high tech world, through an ancient book of bible verses anxiety can be treated and healed.
